What is a hotel Wallet Key?
A Wallet Key is a digital hotel room key stored in a supported Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Guests receive a secure link, add the key and tap an eligible device at a compatible door reader.
Can guests use an Apple Watch?
Yes, a supported Apple Watch can carry a Wallet Key in a compatible deployment. Your watch models, door readers and configuration must be checked before rollout.
Which hotel locks are compatible?
FLEXIPASS supports compatible ASSA ABLOY Vingcard hotel locks using Vostio. Eligibility depends on the installed hardware and software configuration.
Do guests need a separate hotel key app?
No separate hotel key app is needed for the Wallet Key experience. Guests add the key through a secure link to their supported device wallet.
Do we need to replace our locks?
Not necessarily. Compatible Vingcard locks using Vostio may work with your existing infrastructure. A compatibility review identifies whether upgrades are required.
What if a guest cannot use a Wallet Key?
Keep your physical-keycard process available for guests with unsupported or unavailable devices. Plan digital key delivery and the fallback together.
How do guests add a hotel key to Google Wallet or Apple Wallet?
The hotel supplies a secure key link through its supported delivery workflow. Guests follow the link to add the issued key to their supported device wallet, then use it at a compatible reader.
Can guests copy a physical hotel keycard into their wallet?
The FLEXIPASS Wallet Key workflow issues a digital credential through the hotel’s supported integration. It is not a tool for scanning or copying a plastic keycard. The hotel, wallet, device and reader must support the setup.
Are Wallet Keys the same as Apple Pay or Google Pay?
No. A Wallet Key is a room-access credential. Payment acceptance is a separate service and does not establish that a hotel supports wallet room keys.
